In 2018, Network Rail will continue to work in the station at concourse level and on Platforms 7&8.
There will be occasions when Network Rail will need to bring a mobile crane to the site, including overnight, within the dates listed below. The crane will be parked on South Lambeth Road.
Dates of work
Monday 08 January – Friday 02 February
Crane on site only between 22:00 and 05:30
Saturday 24 February– Monday 26 February
Crane arrives at 22:00 on Saturday and remains in place until 05.30 on Monday.
Friday 23 March – Monday 26 March
Crane arrives at 22:00 on Friday and remains in place until 05.30 on Monday.
Saturday 14 April – Monday 16 April
Crane arrives at 22:00 on Saturday and remains in place until 05.30 on Monday
South Lambeth Road will remain open to traffic, but the taxi rank will be temporarily relocated at these times; signage will be in place to provide more information.
The equipment Network Rail use may cause some disturbance, but will make every effort to minimise any unnecessary noise and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience; their staff are briefed on working responsibly in the local community.
Safety is their number one priority and that is why they will carry out this work when the trains are not in operation during the night and at weekends.
