Modern Pan-Asian Restaurant and Latin Cocktail Bar.

January 2017 – Chino Latino Pan Asian Restaurant & Latin Bar, the award-winning Vauxhall restaurant located along Albert Embankment, has undergone an extensive reinvention – now boasting floor-to-ceiling river views towards the Houses of Parliament, live music and a new dining and cocktail menu.

Following a complete redesign, diners can now enjoy extensive views of the Thames and live music in the evenings, as well as a dedicated sushi and ceviche bar. Patrons can now benefit from the full Chino Latino experience at the bar as well as cocktails inspired by the flavours of South America complementing the new menu.

Developed by Executive Group Chef Werner Seebach, head of the kitchen team at Chino Latino London who previously worked at Roka and Sushi Samba, the menu includes a range of new dishes focusing on the flavours of South America, with a particular nod to Peruvian influences. Designed to be shared, starters include cone taquitos with fillings such as Wagyu beef, lobster and vegetables, anticucho – a Wagyu beef flank skewer, watermelon and tuna ceviche with toasted Peruvian corn, tarragon and lime and Seabass tiradito with coriander leche de tigre, chia seeds and borage flowers.

Alongside the more Latin dishes, Chef Seebach brings his many years of experience introducing dishes such as Monkfish tail with yuzu kusho dressing, Tiger maki rolls, and the Duck breast cooked on a traditional Japanese clay bbq grill. Made-to-order sushi and sashimi is also available at the feature sushi/ceviche bar.

New main courses to share include Slow-cooked prime beef short ribs with teriyaki sauce and sous vide salmon wrapped in shiso leaves. Desserts include Dulce de Leche with purple Peruvian potato cake and Solbeso foam, hot yoghurt cake with mango sorbet and coconut foam and Yuzu cream sugar bulb with mini meringue and Champagne granita.

The cocktail menu at Chino Latino is where the Latino element really comes alive in a veritable showcase of South American tipples. Signature cocktails include ‘The Rum Re-Fashioned’, ‘Chilli and Ginger Caiprinha’ and the ‘Elderflower and Mint Margarita’. Designed as a passport guide to spirits such as Agaves (Tequila, Mezcal), Cachaças, Rums and Bourbons it places a firm emphasis on Latin American ingredients, such as guavas, kiwis, passion fruits, limes. Every night Chino Latino hosts live music in the cocktail lounge, with an eclectic range of artists, playing Jazz to acoustic to soul – the music creates the perfect ambience for the restaurant and bar.

The new open-plan design seamlessly combines an intimate restaurant area, bar, live music stage and riverside lounge in perfect harmony allowing guests to enjoy cocktails at the bar whilst listening to some excellent live music or enjoying an evening with friends in the restaurant.
