NaCTSO Advice Bulletin

News September 18, 2020 - admin2020 NaCTSO Advice Bulletin

Designed to ignite and burn during transit, one of these devices was recently returned to a warehouse where, as it was being processed, staff noticed the package showed signs of fire.

This recent spate of devices being sent around the country has prompted security experts working for the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) to advise Couriers and delivery companies to issue guidance to their staff.

As many businesses receive goods via Courier and delivery companies – It is also advisable that you consider your own staff awareness round handling post and identifying suspicious postal packages.

The attached NaCTSO Bulletin has been produced for the advice around this matter.

It is also recommend that all staff receive the ACT E-Learning package. You can sign up to ACT e-learning via the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) website. You can also find further advice and guidance here regarding protective security for events.
