Award-Winning Chino Latino Hanami Celebration

Modern Pan-Asian Restaurant and Latin Cocktail Bar celebrate Spring Blossom season with bespoke afternoon tea and cocktail

March 2017 – To celebrate Japan’s Hanami festival, Chino Latino Pan Asian Restaurant & Latin Bar, the award-winning Vauxhall restaurant located on Albert Embankment, has created a bespoke cherry blossom afternoon tea and cocktail.

Hanami is the festival that celebrates spring blossoms season in Japan and as such Executive Group Chef Werner Seebach has created a bespoke cherry blossom afternoon tea, to include a cherry blossom financier cake and cocktail.

Of the new dish and cocktail Chef Seebach says: ‘We wanted to celebrate this special season in Japan and also highlight the Japanese influences in our menu so what better way than creating an afternoon tea and cocktail made from the very flowers we are honouring’.

Available until the end of May, subject to seasonal availability, the afternoon tea and cocktail is priced at £23.50 per person. Alongside the cherry blossom financier, the afternoon tea includes a choice of tea, two scones with Cornish clotted cream and jam, three sweet tarts including yuzu and chocolate flavours, macaroons, cucumber, smoked salmon and egg mayonnaise finger sandwiches and prawn cocktail and smoked salmon maki rolls. The cocktail is made of sake, cherry Heering, Cointreau, lime, grenadine with a dash of bitters.

Recently the restaurant has undergone an extensive reinvention – now boasting floor-to-ceiling river views towards the Houses of Parliament, live music and a new dining and cocktail menu.

Following a complete redesign, diners can now enjoy extensive views of the Thames and live music in the evenings.
