It’s time to get snapping: Thames Lens Photography Competition now open

Thames Festival Trust’s annual Thames Lens photography competition is now open for submissions inviting non-professional photographers to get down to the River Thames and capture unique shots of it.

The River Thames is London’s largest open space and central to the communities surrounding it.

This year, the judges are looking for unique and interesting images that respond to the theme: River of Life, through which we hope to see the multitude of communities the river supports and is the centre of from ecological, spiritual, residential to commercial.

This year we are thrilled to be introducing an under 18s category to feature the perspectives of young Londoners. Enter your photograph to win some great prizes, as well as the chance to be part of a group exhibition. The competition judging panel consists of representatives from the Thames Festival Trust and Port of London Authority alongside highly regarded Photographer Henry Reichhold.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday 30 September.
