Duty Manager (Full Time 40hrs, Job share considered)

Salary £18,000 – £20,000 dependent on experience

As part of a small multifunctional team the role of Duty Manager is central to the effective running of the Centre.

You will be responsible for the provision of a safe, fun and welcoming climbing environment. When on duty you will directly manage the day to day operations including the reception, café and shop with additional responsibilities including instruction, cleaning and route setting. The role will also include administration responsibilities for instruction bookings and auditing the customer database.

This position will include a variety of shifts throughout our extensive opening times. Applicants should ensure they can get to the centre for 5.45am.

The Centre in Vauxhall opened in May 2014 and we are now looking for 1 staff member to join our team. Applicants should be experienced, diligent and passionate with a flexible and committed approach; the role involves weekend and evening work. As a central London bouldering centre only 100m from a Zone 1 underground and national rail station the centre has rapidly grown into a busy hub for the London climbing scene. We have also introduced many new people to the sport and our aim is nurture beginners into passionate climbers that feel at home in VauxWall. We want to maintain a staff team who embraces our ethos, providing exceptional and efficient customer service.
