Since 2010 the Government has cut the money it gives the Council by 56%. This is the biggest financial challenge Lambeth has ever faced, and it comes at a time of high demand for our key services.

Part of the funding needed for local improvements can come from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). This is a tax paid by developers on new buildings, such as housing and office developments.

The consultation area consists of Oval and Prince’s wards, including residential neighbourhoods. Within these areas, any developments that may occur will generate CIL income. We want residents to benefit from this income, so we are seeking your views to help guide future spend.

Priorities you may want to suggest can include, but are not limited to, improvements to your streets, open spaces and community places; or support for jobs, training and youth facilities.

The final priorities will be published in early 2017 within the Norwood Co-operative Local Investment Plan (CLIP).
