Property management company Bywater Properties plan to build a six-storey, 80,250 sq ft office block on the Old Paradise Street site, with ‘an ambition to deliver an exemplary workspace building of the highest quality with the aim of becoming ‘London’s healthiest workplace’.
The Paradise project designs, by architects Feilden Clegg Bradley, use timber in place of concrete and steel beams, reducing carbon emissions in the construction process and creating no carbon footprint for 57 years. Other eco-friendly design elements include extensive solar panels, parking for 99 bicycles and being an ‘all-electric’ building.
The project will feature a mix of light industrial space, flexible office space and affordable workspace that will be offered at a 50% discount for the first 15 years.
