Lambeth Living Wage Business Grant

London Living Wage: Good for Business, Good for People

The London Living Wage reflects the actual cost of living and is the only rate that pays what your employees need to live in London.

Join us in making Lambeth a Living Wage Place, and show your commitment to your staff by becoming a Living Wage accredited employer.

London Living Wage employee: “It’s the difference between existing and having a life.”

Lambeth Council is offering the first 100 businesses that become an accredited London Living Wage employer a three-year business grant. Their aim is to support and encourage as many local businesses to commit to paying their employees the Living Wage and experience the benefits that becoming accredited has to offer.

A survey of UK employers paying the Living Wage reveals:

– 93% reported having benefited from their accreditation
– 86% say it improved their reputation
– 62% say it improved relations between managers and staff
– 60% say it improved recruitment of employees into their business

And for employees who receive the real London Living Wage, it’s a route out of in-work poverty and a life-line to dignity and security.

London Living Wage employer “The Manual”: “Being accredited as a Living Wage Employer is an easy, simple process which provides instant satisfaction, knowing you’re doing the right thing by your employees and suppliers.”

To thank you and celebrate your status as a newly registered Living Wage Employer, you’ll be part of high-profile comms promotions. You will also be invited to an Annual Celebration Event, so get ready for your selfie and make a real difference to hard-working people’s lives.
