The multi award winning Waterscape Garden, sponsored by the Royal Bank of Canada, is finding a new home on Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens as part of the Vauxhall Missing Link regeneration.
Vauxhall One, in co-operation with LB Lambeth, the Royal Bank of Canada and Hugo Bugg, are introducing many green and sustainable features to the streets surrounding Vauxhall, in order to reduce surface water run-off and the risk of flooding.
The Garden will be officially opened by Cllr Jenny Brathwaite (Cabinet Member for the Environment) at 2pm this Friday 26th September, along with a Royal Bank of Canada planting day, in which Bank employees get to help plant the garden.
Chris Law RIBA, the public realm and development director at Vauxhall One said;
“This is a fantastic coup for Vauxhall and regeneration. The Hugo Bugg garden is all about the sustainable re-use of water. This is what we are committed to in Vauxhall – Great Projects which make a real difference to the environment and make London greener and more sustainable.”
The Hugo Bugg RBC show garden can be found outside the Tea House Theatre on Vauxhall Walk, Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, London SE11 5HL.
