Businesses are reminded to complete new identity verification checks with Companies House ahead of the deadline on 18 November.
The requirement, introduced under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, applies to all company directors, persons with significant control (PSCs) and other key parties.
The measures are designed to help tackle fraud and money laundering by ensuring greater transparency. Failure to comply could affect your ability to file statutory documents, or result in financial penalties or further enforcement action.
The straightforward verification process can be completed online via the Companies House website, with separate steps for directors, PSCs and authorised agents.
