Over the past year, Vauxhall One has continued to focus on the everyday work that helps businesses trade, operate and grow in a fast-changing part of London.
Our 2025 Year in Review sets out how BID levy funding has been reinvested locally over the last 12 months — delivering visible improvements across cleanliness, safety, greening and place-making, while supporting a more confident and welcoming Vauxhall.

Cleaner streets and better-managed spaces
In 2025, Vauxhall One funded 160 additional hours of street cleaning every month, on top of statutory provision. This included daily litter picking, jet washing of key pedestrian routes, graffiti and fly-poster removal, and repairs to street furniture.
Over the summer, the team also worked closely with Network Rail to complete a major refurbishment of the main pedestrian tunnel beneath Vauxhall station, carrying out overnight works over seven weeks to minimise disruption.
A greener, more attractive environment
Targeted greening projects continued across the BID area, improving the look and feel of streets while supporting air quality and biodiversity. The living wall at South Lambeth Place was replanted to provide more year-round colour, 275 hanging baskets brought seasonal planting into busy streets, and a Christmas tree at the station marked the festive period.
In September, a car-free day on Goding Street brought businesses and the community together for outdoor activity, demonstrating new ways to use the public space at the edge of Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.
Safety, reassurance and partnership working
The BID continued to fund dedicated security officers focused on the transport hub, night-time economy and known hotspots. In 2025, the CCTV network was upgraded to 13 cameras, monitored 24 hours a day, with footage shared with the Metropolitan Police to support enforcement.
The Vauxhall Partnership Forum also continued to meet quarterly, bringing together businesses, the council and police to address shared challenges.
Promoting Vauxhall as a destination
The Vauxhall Summer Season returned with free community events in Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens between June and September. Across the season, 13,000 people attended ten events, supported by a coordinated promotional campaign that generated 16.4 million impressions across print, outdoor, digital and social media.
Alongside this, the Augmented Reality History Trail was extended to 12 interactive locations, and a new destination website — beinvauxhall.com — launched to showcase local businesses, culture and events.
