Surrey County Cricket Club has shared its latest Community Newsletter, setting out the major match days expected at The KIA Oval during the 2026 season, along with details of the traffic management measures that will be in place locally.
On major match days, the area around the ground will be subject to an Anti-Terrorist Traffic Regulation Order (ATTRO). This means some roads around The KIA Oval will be closed to traffic for short periods around the arrival and departure of fans. These measures include closures on Harleyford Road, between Oval tube station and Durham Street (The Beehive), as well as Vauxhall Street, Bowling Green Street and Clayton Street. Buses will also be redirected during these periods.
Surrey CCC has advised that the measures have been recommended by the Metropolitan Police as part of wider public safety planning for high-profile events. The club will continue to work with local residents, businesses, community groups, elected representatives and specialist transport teams to keep disruption to a minimum.
For Vauxhall businesses, particularly those based near Kennington Oval, Vauxhall Street, Clayton Street and surrounding routes, we recommend reviewing the dates and estimated timings in advance, and sharing the information with staff, suppliers, visitors and delivery teams where relevant.
The first major match day listed for the 2026 season was Friday 22 May, with further fixtures running through to September. Full details, including the list of affected dates and estimated ATTRO timings, are available in Surrey CCC’s Community Newsletter (download below).
