Vauxhall Flower Market launched in July 2024, bringing a range of local florists, plant growers and gardening suppliers to Spring Mews every two weeks throughout the summer.
The aim of this small-scale pilot was to test the viability of a longer-term, regular market as part of the Low Line vision for Goding Street. This initiative, a collaboration between Lambeth and Wandsworth Councils, aims to connect and celebrate the heritage and communities along the Victorian railway viaduct through Vauxhall, Nine Elms and Battersea.
Whilst licensing lead times prevented Vauxhall One from hosting the Flower Market in Goding Street from the outset, we partnered with local developer CLS to use space at Spring Mews, just off Glasshouse Walk on a temporary basis. The longer term plan is to move the market to Goding Street once improvement works by the Local Authority are complete.
