Vauxhall One was delighted to support Vauxhall City Farm this week with a donation towards their Ultimate Summer Party.
This free event for local families included live music, a farm trail, goody bags, a film club and carnival headdress crafting – plus, of course, a chance to pet and feed the larger animals or have a snuggle with a guinea pig in Cuddle Corner.
Vauxhall City Farm has been part of the fabric of Vauxhall for almost half a century. In an area of London where urban, high-rise development continues apace, it offers a much needed and much-loved pocket of nature in one of the city’s most deprived boroughs.
Their work continues to make a positive impact on individuals, families and groups across the local area – from structured educational programmes, to LGBTQ+ gardening clubs, to family activities such as this one. There aren’t many business districts in central London where the day’s stress can be alleviated with a visit to the alpacas!
On behalf of its member businesses, Vauxhall One supports initiatives like this through its BETTER VAUXHALL workstream. In the past, we have funded social events for the over 60’s, classical music outreach programmes, breakfast for children during the school holidays, and much more.
